Spend a relaxing evening with us creating your own spiral mobile using beads, shells, charms, trinkets, doodads, textile bits, and other miscellaneous found objects. This hands-on workshop is guided by Karla Gisel (self.img), with bespoke spiral bases hand forged by her dad. We will spend the evening intuitively and playfully curating and assembling mobile strands. You will leave with your very own deeply personal spiral mobile!Β 

Thursday, May 7th 6:00-9:00 pm at Wild Cactus Boutique 3638 SE Division St Portland, Oregon 97202

The evening consists of:

  • Curating mobile strands with a selection of beads, shells, charms, and trinkets
  • Choosing and assembling your ribbon for your mobile base
  • Assembling your own spiral mobile strands
  • Basic knotting methods
  • Coming up with creative solutions to attach items without holes

Materials Provided:

  • Hand-forged spiral base
  • Pre-assembled mobile base
  • Pre-cut fishing line strands
  • self.img’s personal stash of beads and trinkets galore
  • A variety of ribbon options
  • Cutting, drilling, and assembly tools and support

A few things to note:

  • Although not required, feel free to bring your own stash of beads, trinkets, and mementos you would like to include in your mobile. Karla can help you find creative methods to include any items that may not have holes to dangle from.
  • This is a beginner friendly workshop! No prior experience is needed.
  • We will be taking photos and video throughout the workshop. If you do not wish to be included please let us know beforehand!
  • Discount codes on tickets cannot be used - if you use one your ticket will be cancelled / refunded
  • Tickets are non refundable, but if you can't make it, please send us a message and we will contact our waitlist or you can send it to a friend!Β 
  • Your email receipt confirmation counts as your ticket, upon arrival please check in with a Wild Cactus staff member and share your name and we will get you checked in
